About ToolsForAnyone

A free, fast and privacy-friendly toolkit for anyone who needs to understand their internet connection.

Our mission

ToolsForAnyone started as the simplest possible answer to a common question: what is my IP address? It has grown into a complete set of network tools used by home users troubleshooting Wi-Fi, gamers setting up port forwarding, developers debugging DNS, and IT teams checking certificates and email security.

We believe network diagnostics should be free, instant and understandable. Every tool explains its results in plain English and links to a guide that goes deeper, so you not only get an answer but also learn what it means.

What we offer

  • IP tools: your public IPv4 and IPv6 address, IP geolocation lookup, reverse DNS and an IPv6 readiness test.
  • DNS tools: DNS record lookup, propagation checks across major public resolvers, MX lookup and SPF/DKIM/DMARC validation.
  • Domain tools: RDAP-based WHOIS and a multi-extension domain availability checker.
  • Security & web: SSL certificate checker, HTTP header and redirect analysis, open port checker and browser information.
  • Connection tests: IPv6 test, WebRTC leak test, ping and jitter test, open port checker and an internet troubleshooter.
  • Calculators: IPv4/IPv6 subnet calculator, CIDR/range converter, IP format converter and MAC address vendor lookup.
  • A free API: curl toolsforanyone.com/ip for scripts and automation.
  • Learning centre: in-depth guides on IP addressing, DNS, subnetting, ports, TLS and email authentication.

Where our data comes from

We rely on authoritative, public sources wherever possible:

  • IP geolocation from ipwhois.io, which is approximate by nature. Here's why.
  • DNS answers from public DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers operated by Cloudflare, Google and others.
  • Registration data directly from domain registries and regional internet registries via RDAP, located through IANA's official bootstrap files.
  • TLS, HTTP and port checks performed live from our servers at the moment you ask.

Privacy by design

We do not require accounts, we do not sell data, and we do not keep a history of the domains or IP addresses you look up. Results are cached briefly in memory only to keep the service fast. Read our privacy policy for details.
