WHOIS sorgulama nedir?

WHOIS, bir alan adının veya IP adresi bloğunun kime ait olduğunu gösteren herkese açık bir dizindir. Sorgu; alan adının satın alındığı kayıt şirketini, ne zaman oluşturulduğunu ve ne zaman sona ereceğini, ad sunucularını, durum kodlarını ve spam ya da oltalama (phishing) bildirmek için bir kötüye kullanım iletişim adresini gösterir. IP adresleri için ise ağın sahibini, adres aralığını ve bu aralığı tahsis eden bölgesel internet kayıt kuruluşunu (ARIN, RIPE NCC, APNIC, LACNIC veya AFRINIC) gösterir.

RDAP: modern WHOIS

Bu araç, eski metin tabanlı WHOIS protokolünün yapılandırılmış JSON tabanlı halefi olan Kayıt Verilerine Erişim Protokolü'nü (RDAP) sorgular. Her TLD veya IP aralığı için yetkili kayıt sunucusunu IANA'nın bootstrap dosyalarından buluruz; böylece sonuçlar doğrudan kaynaktan gelir. Henüz RDAP sunmayan az sayıdaki ülke kodlu TLD için klasik port 43 WHOIS'e geri döneriz.

Sahibin adı neden gizli?

AB'nin GDPR düzenlemesi Mayıs 2018'de yürürlüğe girdiğinden beri kayıt şirketleri bireysel kayıt sahiplerinin kişisel verilerini varsayılan olarak gizler; birçoğu şirketler için de aynısını yapan ücretsiz gizlilik hizmetleri sunar. Bir alan adı sahibiyle iletişime geçmek için kayıt şirketinin iletişim formunu veya gösterilen kötüye kullanım adresini kullanın. WHOIS ve gizlilik hakkında daha fazlasını okuyun (İngilizce).
